An Architect's Chart

It is very strange to write a perspective about another Architect, in view that it is also my profession. Some how there is some kind or "deja vu" almost telling of my own story in a third party shoe, there is almost bias at some point. I refer to this gentlemen as Mr. Architect and here are his requests: -

"... My own assessment of my own character:

I have always been a very strong headed person. I have excel in my studies and have been quite succesful working as an architect at the early part of my life after completing my degree with honours in Australia. However, I have a problem with been too "serious" with what I do and probably, with myself. I changed my jobs very often and I realised that it is often because I am unsatisfied with my bossess. It seems that I have a major discipline problem with people or institutions "controlling me" from above.

Now, I have set up my own little design practice offering interior and architectural services to people in Vietnam and am also working as a financial trader at the same time. I have found this arrangment most suitable for myself and am making baby steps progress to making a living using my own design and financial skills.

My main question to you is about wealth because I find that I have been a very generous person to friends and relatives but at the same time I am also very senstive towards spending money and earning lots of money. Am I asking too much or do I have the potential in my Bazi to make good money?...

... Actually, I characterise myself as "hot-headed" not from a stubborn point of view because whether at work or in personal life, I can be a very accomodating person. But I find that I am also extremely pursuasive and good at showing people options in the decisions they make. Maybe that is why I have been popular at work with my staff for "narrowing down" their choices because they truly understand the limited choices they have, and at the end, it is them who make the decisions they have to honour, and not me. I was truly the very artistic type who excel in the arts from chinese opera singing, playing the guitar and Gu Qin, to been an actor in chinese stage play and of course, been an architect. But now in my life, I find that I am moving into something very unusual and that is the finance field. I am begining to see something even more creative and powerful in this field than in design or the arts. So maybe you can help me shed some light on this as well.

So, this is basically a character reading and I wonder how much do they charge in Singapore for such a service?

He is a strong Self Metal born in Shen, Metal Month, supported by the branch and not by the stem. There is a tendency to combine in Zi and Chou but do not transform, luckily. He favours output and wealth. No wealth star is seen from the chart and could he be poor?

He is strong headed, largely due to his self structure. There is only him and nothing else. His education in Architecture further mould him into what he is today. It is not easy to survive in an architecture school, let alone make it a good grade. However, it is favourable to him of such training and discipline for his profession both as an employee and a practitioner but it is never an easy task. As this structure indicates he is not being satisfy with himself in the reflections of his employers, as it is not up to his expectation. That result in his job hopping and finally work best to be on his own. He is always in confrontation with authority be it self or others. It is all reflected in the strong self structure, negative in a way that a strong chart does not favour self which weakened his authority star. There is an intrinsic self competition and this is the unseen pressure, if it is not control will bring forth unecessary problems.

Being artitistic is view from his positive output, in a long run, he is telented because of the root. The only shortfall is his officer is not rooted and there is a self star weakening his officer. Wealth is also absent from his chart, which is needed to make his officer star stronger. These left him with 2 things. First, he must refine his talent through his action or output. Second, he must at some times, put aside his principle to gain favours. These favours will bring him the desired wealth.

The Fake Follower Chart Of Miss Blue River

Some times ago, Bazi Diary has been informing me that he is doing about 2 – 3 BaZi reading daily when he put up his blog. These are very encouraging as a platform to refine the skill required. Although we came from different school of thought, although not entirely, I am surprised that no matter what method used be it imagery or otherwise, the conclusions are similar and if not, some times, the same. Rarely do we dispute on the techniques and this has proven that the spirit of sharing is of paramount important in this art of metaphysics. Of such, I also take the opportunity to thanks Lwee, Shi Xiang and Mr. Anonymous who contributed unreservedly towards the fruitful discussion on this blog. If one is sharp enough, there are lots of gold nuggets that can be found in these discussions owing to the fact that most of us here did spend a huge fortune to learn these arts, and some contributors were conscious not to reveal too much for fear of going against their own school’s predicaments, which I believed, will dilute by the passage of time. Our ancestors have ways to make the message across. The only humble request, I would greatly appreciate if the anonymous contributors would leave a pseudonym or nickname, so that I can address him/her by a name rather then anonymous, as the one who named is the mother of the myriad things in Dao.

Last week, I received an email of a lady, wish to be known as Blue River, to have her chart read in this blog as an academic exercise rather then a paid reading. These are her request, “… after paying SGD130 for a Zi Wei Dou Shu consultation. I was given certain career -related advice which, if I were to follow it, requires me to switch to a totally different industry. Apparently, the industry I am currently in, i.e. real estate is completely unsuitable for me!

I am looking for a second opinion using Bazi as this is a major life decision. As such, I would like to seek your help to perform an online Bazi analysis for me.

…If it's not too much trouble, would you also be able to comment on the marriage aspect? I was told by the ZWDS master that any relationship I start now will end in 2011/2012 even though the person will treat me very well. I forgot to ask him how the result would end, whether the other partner is the one who initiates it or am I the one to do so. Is there any way to tell that from Bazi? The other question is career-related, ie. is real estate industry bad for me and which industry should I be in. Also will I be able to run a business and when is the best time to start one?”.

Let’s start the ball rolling, she is a Ji earth person born in winter Hai month, not supported by stems and branches except for a Ji stem protruding at the year pillar. Can she be qualified as a weak chart or a fake follower chart? If she is a fake follower, following wealth, that makes all the elements around her favourable, except for herself. She could well be a of a good pedigree, running on, unfortunately, corrugated roads (luck).

She has a career in real estate, meaning in the industry that earth element prevailed. I supposed her scope of works is estate agent, meaning water elements, which is to her is wealth. Being an estate agent is liked salesmanship, for her case, would preferred output, but was not revealed in her natal chart. Apparently these make her task being challenging. The good thing is she has good authority stars that will weaken her further. It is very easy to jump into conclusion and ask someone to just change industry, but this is not our lives. She is 40 years plus, re learning again is not as easy as control-alternate-delete. I would suggest her to make good use of the remaining luck pillars and make good use of her positive elements. She will be entering her GengChen luck pillar by 2010, which is good leveraging on the output. This may have been good luck to her. Subsequently, starting on her own may also been beneficial.

It will be ideal if there is a wood star in her spouse palace and in this case a metal. For a reason that metal being output for her is favourable, getting a husband is not bad for her, however, his role will greatly needed to be supportive. She should start looking for a good candidate during her better luck cycle of 2010 onwards.

She will put forth her input as requested and I stand to be corrected. What is your view on this as is she really a fake follower or simply just a weak chart?

Another Lucky Chart

This is a chart of a man with great amount of luck. His wealth accumulation started when he strike over RM60,000 in a lottery draw in the early 90's during the xin-chou LP. With this capital, he found his way into the share market and now he has well over RM10 million.

What makes this chart so favourable?

This is a weak xin DM with his positive resource star, positive officer star and positive wealth star, all protruding in the natal chart. On top of that, the useful god, earth stars are also strongly rooted.

His officer fire stars are also strongly rooted. Positive officer stars also represent nobility. It seems that he has donated much to temples.

Who can guess which golfer too is a weak DM with resource, officer and wealth stars all protruding in the stems?

Feeling Lucky

I recently met a gentleman who has just the right attitude of non confrontational nature, but highly influential, which I termed as peacock. The cheracteristic of a peacock is firstly appearing nice and orderly but his way of getting things done his way is highly amirable and impressing. Just don't ask how, as he has his way. The word, motivating is of a better choice just liked the motivational Guru liked Tony Robbins and the aliked. I must say when you look at his chart, you will understand the person behind the peacock in appearance. Let just say, his road of destiny is less bumpy then the one most traveled or in a nutshell, he is simply luckier! So I must admit, the FengShui CasaNova currently in the dock may have just taken a surf up the tidal wave and who knows, he may just walked out many time richer then who he is as a phony master or otherwise?

Perhaps GOD's will is written in the path called the Destiny or simply luck pillar. Be honest, most lucky people has better view of the word determination, not because they are less hardworking, but rather things will usually goes their own ways with or sometime less effort. It is the unlucky one that has to do something adverse much to the potrayal of the notion of Existentialism I think therefore I am. Have you notice why some people always happened to be at the correct place meeting the correct people and getting the correct projects at the correct time? The world seems to be their playground? It always remain the question of the unlucky one as can destiny be changed?

The natal chart is liked a car. A good chart has all the ingredient for a pedigree. However, what use of such a pedigree when the road travels are full of potholes and bumps? Whereas, for a not so pedigree type of natal chart would just be sailing along the way through a smooth super highway reflected in the destiny. This is the bunch of people I called the fellowship of the lucky ones. So the question of lucky does not stem from the strenght of the Self. We seems to see more weak self running important positions liked presidents, chairman, CEO and other. Needless to say there is also weak chart that is worst off, simply because of luck?

Knowing what you know about your own destiny is of paramount important. Knowing what is your favourable elements will make the bump and potholes less painful and knowing how to use the unfavourable elements will bring one up the pedestal of success even if the window of openings lasted only 1 miserable year. This can be known by many names, but that is not important. Your own life path is more important. There is a prophecy that stressed first fate, second destiny, third FengShui, fourth cultivates and fifth knowledge in the order of luck. I must say, it should be read, if it is not fated, yet the destiny can be altered by means of FengShui through cultivations of good deeds in the field of dispersing the opportunity of acquiring knowledge for the unfortunate ones. This is the highest blessing...

A Weak YangRen Structure

I received an email with the following request: -

"... I would like to know your opinion if the following is a yangren structure with strong DM. Yi born in Yin month and the Day master is strong, eventhough there is no aditional wood in the heavenly stems?

That is what I have learned, getting the season is enough to become strong DM, based on Ziping.
The bazi is:

year: bing, shen
month: geng, yin
day: yi, si
hour: geng, chen... "


Yi wood self born in Yin month, beginning of spring. We call this born in season. However, both locations and formations does not support the self. This is a weak chart. Although it is a YangRen structure, it is still a weak chart. Making wood and water favourable.

Need to know the gender of this person in order to chart the luck pillar to confirm such findings. Pehaps the owner of this chart can assist?

PostScript: The rule of Yang Ren Ge shall be a Yang Stem born in the season of pure Qi liked Jia born in Mao, Geng born in You and Ren born in Zi. Bing born in Wu month is not pure as it contains Ji. So this chart is not a YangRen structure.

Transformation That Affects The Strength Of The DM

This is the chart of Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Computers. The yin-mao-chen seasonal combo transforms into wood stars, supported by the yin month and lured by yi in the year stem. This transformation turns the chen earth into wood.

Here are the 3 criterias in determining the strength of the DM.

1st criteria : strong - yin month supports fire DM .
2nd criteria : strong - chen and mao against wei. (chen has turned into wood)
3rd criteria : weak - yi against xin and wu

Overall : 2 strong against 1 weak makes this a strong bing DM.

A chart that has a very strong unfavourable stars in the natal chart is very imbalance and is prone to illness. This chart has a very strong negative wood stars. The main organ for wood stars is the liver. It was reported recently that he has a liver transplant due to liver cancer.

The brilliance of this chart lies in the strongly rooted useful god which are the earth stars.

A Note From Romania

BaZi Diary has just notify me that his faithful fan from Romania has indeed, make an invitation to him to visit Romania and I must say it was a wonderful irresistible gesture. Although he does not agree with the view that his day master was weak, I might as well put it up for a fruitful discussion. You never know, I might be wrong as well. Gui self born in the season of water with water protruding, which is to say he is born in season. One academy in town will conclude that this is a strong chart. Located between fire and wood (transformed by the combination of Ren and Ding), controls fire and support wood, weakened water. Not supported by the branches as well. So, the only conclusion is this is a WEAK chart. Imagery speaking, what is the most important thing for a mist in sheer winter season that may even insult the Sun when it is sheltered partially by the rising mountain and belittle the flickered candle or perhaps the leafless wood that is hibernating? It looks liked a STRONG chart. In summary, what is your calling?

Post Script: Strictly by one school of thought, the solid water pillar will NOT ALLOW Ren and Ding to transform into wood although it is supported by the month These tendency to combine without transformation is significant as to what we would like to seek from the palaces involved.
